Greetings, everyone!
All surveys have now been sent!
After 24 hours, we had experienced zero issues with our smoke testers, so we've gone ahead and sent out all of the surveys. Please fill out your survey as soon as you can, which helps us get your books to you smoothly next year.
Part of the process is providing BackerKit with your card details to charge for shipping. Just so you all know, we don't charge your cards until we are ready to close up the pre-order store and lock everything down for final production numbers. We typically lock down in late October, and charge cards in early November. There will be updates and emails around those dates, and those emails will come from Kickstarter and BackerKit.
The Late Pledges/Pre-orders store is open!
As mentioned in yesterday's update, the BackerKit Pre-order store is now open. You can share this link with our friends who might have missed the campaign. They can jump in and support our three wonderful artists at the same rates as in the Kickstarter.
If you have any questions at all, please drop them in the comments below.
Cheers Dave and THE ART OF... Team
BIG NEWS DAY!

Hi everyone!
Thanks for your patience while I was getting the BackerKit pledge manager together. It took a little bit longer than usual, primarily because although I was certain I had clicked the "Send For Review" button last week, it would appear I did not. Big thanks to the BackerKit team for expediting my review yesterday!
SMOKE TEST
Ok, the next stage is to send out the Smoke Test. This will mean that today, surveys will go out to 5% of backers today, and I'll get to stress test what I have set up. If you get your survey today, please go through it as soon as you can.
Assuming everything is alright, I can start to send out the surveys for everyone else. When I do send out the remaining surveys, I'll also send out another update, letting everyone know.
Again, please go through the survey as soon as possible after you receive it. We won't charge cards for the shipping until November, BUT experience has shown that if you don't fill it out quickly, you are likely to forget later and it can cause delays in shipping your final pledge. None of us want that.
LATE PLEDGES
I have had people asking about late pledges, and I am happy to say we have opened the pre-order store, where your friends will be able to support our artists and this project too!
Let them know they can check out the pre-order store on BackerKit here:
MINIATURE MASTERS!
And finally, another piece of big news is that our very own Anastasia Loukrezi, author of Volume 18, particpated in the first season of Miniature Masters, a miniature painting-focused take on elimination reality TV shows produced by Squidmar Miniatures!
The series is set to launch on their YouTube channel soon. Check out their announcement video here:
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
Anastasia was also joined by the wonderful Natalia Oracz, author of Volume 15 of THE ART OF...! It is so cool that these lovely people had the opportunity to experience this adventure, alongside these six other great painters from around the globe!
Check them all out and follow their journey when Miniature Masters launches soon!

Once again, I'd like to thank you all for supporting this stage of this crazy journey.
When I started this thing five years ago with the wonderful Miniature Monthly team (Aaron, Elizabeth, and Matt) plus Christof Keil plus Ana Polanscak, I had no idea where it could go. Since then I've had the opportunity to work with many wonderful artists, digging into their minds to unearth not only the way they do things, but also the why behind what they do.
When passionate people do creative things, we can make some amazing art!
I am very excited to work closely with Alfonso, Steve, and Anastasia this summer to bring you another quality set of books about wonderful miniatures art.
Thank you for making that possible!
Cheers Dave and THE ART OF... Team!
Final Day, Final Stretch Goals!

Huge thanks to everyone for their support! We've unlocked the PDF tutorial from Alfonso, and are now closing in on the final Stretch Goals – adding extra pages to the books! These are always my favorite goals, as making these books as wonderful as they can be is core to the whole project.
Please remind your painting friends today, let them know they don't have much time left to jump in at these Kickstarter prices!
Cheers Dave and THE ART OF... Team!
Two more Stretch Goals crushed!

We've had quite a few new supporters since our last update, and we've almost reached 800 for the campaign so far!
We've unlocked the PDF tutorial from Anastasia Loukrezi, and added the Add-On set of lovely Artcards for Steve Garcia (available to add during the campaign, or later during the BackerKit pledge manager). Now we're on to reaching the Stretch Goal for Alfonso's PDF tutorial, where he'll take us through planning and executing a backdrop that elevates the miniature in front of it!
After that we're on to expanding the page count of each book. Less than 48 hours to go, and we really appreciate you sharing for us one more time!
In Memoriam – John Blanche, 1948-2026
I also wanted to take this opportunity to mention the passing of John Blanche, an artist that has had a profound impact on our world. His vision and his world-building have inspired so many people around the globe for decades – including the artists who are part of THE ART OF... team. This piece of John's above is one of my favorites as it was a major source of inspiration for one of my own army projects.
The world will continue to feel the resonance of his work for decades, if not centuries to come.
